What it does
Sliding and overturning factor of safety — real-time FS on the wedge under static and pseudo-static seismic conditions, with colour coding for safe / marginal / unsafe.
Two failure criteria — classic Mohr-Coulomb plus non-linear Barton-Bandis (JRC, JCS) for rough rock joints at low normal stress, with the full diagnostic panel exposed.
Four water states — ponded water at the toe, uplift on the failure plane, thrust in the tension crack, pervious-slope hydraulic connection — with four configurable pressure distributions.
Pseudo-static seismic action — NTC §3.2 and §7.11.3, configurable horizontal coefficient kh and direction Ω, plus a generic external force for road loads or overlying structures.
Nail, anchor and mesh reinforcement — pre-tensioned anchors (NTC §6.6 with ξ and γRa,t), passive nails (NTC §6.7 SoilNail Variant A with Clouterre 1993 N-V interaction), drape mesh R1 and cable panels R2 with full design-resistance breakdown.
Closed-form auto-design — when FS falls below target, the auto-designer solves for nail rows, positions and spacing in milliseconds; an optional Gemini-powered AI layer comments the design and proposes motivated refinements.
2D section and interactive 3D view — real-time wedge plot with force vectors and dimensions, plus a navigable 3D model of the block, nails, plates and meshes — four presets (iso, front, side, top).
