Processing of dynamic penetrometer tests (DPL · DPM · DPH · DPSH) and SPT in-hole, from blow counts to the geotechnical report. All in a single web app.
Dynamic Probing NX is the new web generation of the GeoStru program for processing dynamic penetrometer tests — continuous DPL, DPM, DPH and DPSH probes — and SPT tests carried out in a borehole. It inherits the formulas of the Dynamic Probing desktop program, brings them inside the browser, and enriches them with an AI geotechnical assistant, a geolocated test map and automatic cross-sections.
From the raw blow counts the application derives the equivalent NSPT through the Pasqualini coefficient, the dynamic point resistance, a full set of geotechnical correlations, the NTC subsoil category and the allowable bearing pressures — with continuous coherence in SI units (kPa · kN/m³ · MPa).

| Cohesive correlations | Undrained cohesion Cu (Terzaghi-Peck, Butcher, Langton…), oedometric and Young moduli Mo / Ey, unit weights γ / γsat, shear-wave velocity Vs and consistency classification. |
| Incoherent correlations | Relative density Dr, friction angle φ and φ1,60, Poisson ratio ν and shear modulus G. |
| Subsoil category | NTC 2018, NTC 2008 and EC8 classification from the equivalent shear-wave velocity Vs,eq (or NSPT / Cu), with optional seismic substrate. |
| Bearing capacity | Olandese allowable pressure per depth (Khodaparast), shallow-foundation methods (Terzaghi-Peck, Meyerhof, Bazaraa, Peck-Hanson, Meigh-Hobbs, De Beer-Martens, Burland) and deep-foundation Meyerhof for driven piles. |
| Characteristic values EC7 | Cautious characteristic value of a parameter per EC7 §2.4.5.2 / NTC §6.2.2 (Normal, Lognormal, Student-t), computed on the cross-borehole sample with automatic procedure selection by sample size. |
| Automatic stratigraphy | Layer generation from blow-count readings by lithology table, Robertson Ic index or PELT + Robertson, with editable lithology colours (DIN 4023). |
| Geolocated map | Tests positioned by latitude/longitude on a native map, scaled planimetry and automatic 2D geotechnical cross-sections between probes. |
| AI assistant | Geotechnical chatbot that reads the project, fixes readings and stratigraphy, runs the computation, evaluates soil category, bearing pressure and EC7 characteristic values, and explains the results. |
| Export | Structured Word (.docx) report, AGS4 geotechnical interchange, DXF planimetry and section, 2D dataset for GeoSection NX, and planimetry image. |
| Save & import | Native .dprobe project file saved on your PC and import of desktop .dypx files — your project data stays on your computer. |
What Dynamic Probing NX adds over the desktop
- AI geotechnical assistant — read the project, paste readings, compute and interpret results in natural language.
- Geolocated map & automatic sections — tests on a native map, with 2D cross-sections traced between probes.
- EC7 characteristic values — cautious characteristic value of each parameter on the cross-borehole sample (Normal, Lognormal, Student-t).
- NTC 2018 subsoil category — Vs,eq-based classification with optional seismic substrate.
- Open exchange formats — AGS4 and GeoSection NX export to keep talking to the rest of the workflow.
- Web-first — nothing to install, no hardware key; open the project from any browser.
Professional target
Geotechnical engineers, applied geologists, site-investigation and drilling companies, foundation designers, consultancy firms and universities working with dynamic penetrometer and SPT data.
Report output
The Word (.docx) technical report generated by Dynamic Probing NX is structured for immediate delivery to the client or for inclusion in a project file. It includes: cover page with project and site data, instrument and test description, blow-count logs with NSPT and dynamic resistance, synthesis of geotechnical parameters per layer (γ, φ, Cu, Mo, Ey, Vs, Dr), subsoil category, allowable bearing pressures and EC7 characteristic values. Charts are inserted as high-resolution images derived from the on-screen rendering.
GeoStru NX Suite — Dynamic Probing NX is part of the new web generation of GeoStru applications. LiquiTer NX, GMS NX, Stratigrapher NX, Computo NX and the other applications in the suite share the same cloud environment, the same authentication system, and talk directly to each other on project data.
